The ‘Action Mountain’

Within 300m of the Konrad Deublerheim is an 'Action Mountain', with fun-filled attractions for young and old. Experience the excitement of the climbing forest or downhill adventure on the mountain go-cart track. Children can enjoy a special hiking trail combined with fun riddles. The panorama restaurant Auszeit is situated at the top of the mountain. Take the Speedliner cable from here to race back to the bottom at 80 km per hour for an adrenaline rush. Rock Climbing/Alpine Hut tours

Werfenweng lies at the foot of the Tennengebirge. The Hochkönig- and Dachsteinmassief, as well as the Hohe and Niedere Tauern, are close by. This makes it a fantastic starting point for alpine hut tours! Many Klettersteig (Rock climbing) routes are also found in the Tennengebirge, and the Tronleiter also offers a Klettersteig climbing route. Werfenweng’s lovely swimming lake lies only 300m from the Deublerheim. If the crystal clear water isn’t enough, a waterslide, sunbathing area, beach volleyball court, and a restaurant with terrace are also on offer. Eisriesenwelt – Ice cave

The Eisriesenwelt in the nearby Werfen houses the largest ice caves in the world. The caverns total 42km in length, with the first kilometer covered in ice. There are guided group tours of this initial part of the cavern network. The caves are accessed from Werfen via a steep paved road, followed by a few hundred meter climb in a small gondola, and finished off with an approximately 20 minute hike. Eisriesenwelt

The Fortress Hohensalzburg is one of the best preserved castles from the Middle Ages in the Alps, and is definitely worth a visit. It is accessible via hiking path and train. Werfenweng lies on a plateau surrounded by magnificent mountains, and as such is a hikers’ paradise. Gorgeous hiking routes are found both in the valley and at higher altitudes, with offerings for all difficulty levels. There are also five signpost-marked Nordic walking routes.
